Electricity and gas complaints scheme one of the best places to work
The office of the Electricity and Gas Complaints Commissioner (EGCC) is a finalist in the Kenexa Best Workplaces Awards 2013.
The EGCC won the best small workplace category in 2011, and was a finalist again last year.
Commissioner Judi Jones says the office uses the survey and its results 365 days a year, it is not just a one-off annual event.
“The workplace survey gives us a picture of where we are, more importantly, it helps us set goals and measure progress towards where we want to be,” Ms Jones said.
Kenexa, an IBM company, surveys the employees of businesses taking part and names finalists in four categories (http://www.bestworkplaces.co.nz/) The EGCC is one of 11 finalists in the small workplace category (20 to 49 employees). The full list of finalists is available here. http://www-03.ibm.com/press/nz/en/pressrelease/42111.wss
The winners will be announced at a dinner in Auckland on Thursday 31 October.
