Tim McFarlane appointed as Chief Marketing Officer to drive GeoOP as a brand internationally
AUCKLAND, Monday 7th October, 2013 – GeoOP Limited, the mobile workforce management company globally empowering services and trades businesses to create efficient business processes, has appointed Tim McFarlane as its Chief Marketing Officer. McFarlane will be leading GeoOP’s marketing team and devise the company’s global brand and go to market strategies.
McFarlane brings a wealth of international marketing experience and deep knowledge and understanding of the telecommunications/IT services market. Based in the UK with Vodafone Group since 2010, he has been responsible for Enterprise go-to-market initiatives across Europe and launches of cloud fixed and mobile propositions across their wider global footprint. As principal go to Market Manager in Europe for Vodafone, McFarlane worked closely with senior executives in both Vodafone and partner markets to deliver the best in class enterprise marketing – across insights, pricing, product, channel and brand.
McFarlane had been with Vodafone since 2005, having played a key part of the transformation team that merged ihug with Vodafone. As Global Marketing Manager Fixed Mobile Convergence for the Vodafone Group, he was responsible for driving successful launches of converged fixed and mobile propositions across the Vodafone footprint. McFarlane has also lead a team across multiple geographies and helped ensure market leadership with consistent, high quality execution across the Vodafone Group.
