Julie Carcaterra has been appointed to the position of Choice Hotels Development Manager New Zealand.

Carcaterra comes from a strong sales and business development background and brings with her extensive knowledge of the hospitality and travel industry along with impressive leadership skills.

She joins the Choice Hotels team from Hotel Grand Chancellor where she held the role of Director of Sales and prior to that was Business Development Manager at Mirvac Hotels and Resorts.

Carcaterra will be based in Auckland strengthening Choice Hotels’ presence in New Zealand where there is a strong focus on business development to grow the group’s trans-Tasman franchisee network.

She will report directly to Choice Hotels Australasia Senior Development Manager, Brett Salter, who is pleased to welcome her to the team.

“Julie brings a wealth of experience in sales and business development,” says Salter. “We’re confident her solid skill set and professional approach will see her become an integral part of the team and assist us to strategically grow the Choice Hotels portfolio in New Zealand.”

Carcaterra says this is an exciting move that will allow her to utilise her entire skill base.

“I am delighted to take on the position of Development Manager, New Zealand," says Carcaterra. “This is an exciting challenge and coupled with my industry experience, it’s one I am very much looking forward to.”
