Mark Verbiest appointed to ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited

ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited (ANZ NZ) announced today the appointment of Mark Verbiest as an independent Director of the company. The appointment is effective from today.

The appointment has been approved by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

Mr Verbiest is currently Chairman of Telecom Corporation of New Zealand Limited, Transpower New Zealand Limited and Willis Bond Capital Partners Limited. He is also a Director of Freightways Limited, and a Board member of the Financial Markets Authority.

Other ANZ NZ Directors are chairman John Judge, Tony Carter, Joan Withers, ANZ NZ CEO David Hisco, ANZ Group CEO Mike Smith and ANZ Group CFO Shayne Elliott.
