Westpac West Auckland Business Awards 2013
Debtworks showed the true depth of its operations at the recent West Auckland Business awards,
winning the coveted Douglas Pharmaceuticals Excellence in Leadership category. This comes hard on
the heels of their award at the 2012 AUT Excellence in Business Support awards.
Acknowledging how proud he was of his entire leadership team Operations Director and CEO Bruce
Cross emphasised “This award recognises Debtworks’ lead team’s contribution towards nurturing
our team’s passion and fuelling their confidence… After all, experience is simply the confidence of
having already succeeded” continuing “it is their consistent delivery that has driven Debtworks’
business success and allowed our entire team to succeed both personally and professionally” .
The annual awards are run by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) to
celebrate the success and innovation of local businesses. The excellence in leadership category is
highly sought after, with a strong group of finalists.
Fellow Director Dave Young, said “This success is even more gratifying given the calibre of the other
finalists and it is humbling to be externally acknowledged twice within 12 months. We’ve got a great
team and I am extremely proud of them”
