Get the GiST the latest online low cost initiative for Accounting Practices is set to launch 1 November 2013. Get the GiST is a set of core compliance value driven documents designed specifically for New Zealand Accounting Practices. All documents are stored on a cloud based platform for easy use and accessibility.

The concept of Get the GiST came about when Michelle Hill identified a need for templates and information specifically designed for Accounting Practices to ensure they remain compliant. Michelle is a Chartered Accountant who founded and built her own accountancy practice in 1992. Michelle has been extensively involved with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and she was recently highly honoured by being awarded a Fellowship. In recent times Michelle has been coaching other Accountants in public practices.

Get the GiST will make an accountant’s life easier and Accounting Practices more productive. Together with a number of professional partners Get the GiST have bundled the necessities into 12 unique modules which are accessible on the go via a cloud based system.

Accountancy Practices require core compliance documents that are system and process driven in order to operate effectively and efficiently for their clients. Get the GiST provides this core data system and allows quick and easy access to compliance documents without having to go through an excessive amount of material to find what you are looking for. By being cloud based, Get the GiST offers the most up to date data available while being able to seamlessly integrate into existing practice data and systems.

As part of the Xero Modern Practice the initiative behind the development of Get the GiST is to provide value driven quality compliance content on a user friendly platform that can be accessed from anywhere at any time. The Full Suite provides this access through a cloud based application, Office 365. If you are on the road or in the office you can leave a meeting confident that your client has had immediate access to the most up to date information during the meeting.

The documents are designed in an easy to use format and once downloaded, Practice and Client personal information can be added quickly using cut and paste or pre-populated from Xero’s Workflow Max. Where applicable, the document can be saved into a Client file. All this with a few clicks of your mouse, a bit of copy and paste and review of the information!
