Alex Radford appointed as GM, Digital Media for Aegis Media

Alex Radford appointed as GM, Digital Media for Aegis Media New Zealand

Alex Radford has been appointed to the role of General Manager, Digital Media at Aegis Media New Zealand. The role incorporates the role of General Manager of Catch! and performance marketing business iProspect.

The role replaces outgoing Catch! and iProspect Managing Director, John Schofield who has resigned and will leave the business in December to explore new opportunities.

Alex joins Aegis Media with a wealth of experience across all areas of digital business with particular focus on digital strategy, data and analytics, search, performance media and technology. He has previously held roles at VivaKi, Omnicom and SureFire search marketing.

Of Alex’s appointment, Robert Harvey, CEO of Aegis Media New Zealand said, “I am excited to welcome Alex to the Aegis Media family. Alex will be responsible for overseeing the digital media output of all Aegis Media agencies and will take direct responsibility for a reinvigorated iProspect brand.

“Alex is a great talent who understands the power of integration. He buys into our vision to be at the forefront of media convergence and will be key in continuing our leadership in the digital space.”

Alex said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Aegis Media Group as Digital Media GM. There is already real depth and breadth to the services offered within the group, and I’m excited about the opportunities we can develop as we more fully integrate and mature the digital offerings across all the brands.”

Of John’s departure, Rob said, “John is one of the pioneers of New Zealand’s digital media industry and on behalf of Aegis Media, I want to thank him for all of his passion and dedication to the group over the past seven years. We wish him all the best for his new endeavours.”

Alex joins Aegis Media on Monday 18th November.
