100% Kiwi infant formula to launch in New Zealand

NutriaCare Group committed to local market despite chaotic conditions

An exciting new premium infant formula brand, Nuenfant Gold, will launch in New Zealand in early 2014 following a successful pilot with New World. Nuenfant is manufactured by NutriaCare group, a 100 per cent owned and operated New Zealand company based in Auckland. The unique formula is designed by infant formula expert Warren Cook to meet the exact needs of developing babies.

The Nuenfant Gold formula is manufactured using an exclusive blending and drying process to ensure every scoop is identical and all particles are the same size. This means that babies can better digest and absorb all the essential nutrients. Nuenfant Gold range will include three products: Infant, Follow On and Toddler formulas and will be available in supermarkets and baby stores across the country.

NutriaCare founder and group CEO, Mark Fankhauser, says Nuenfant Gold is committed to settling any turmoil in the market and in the minds of parents.

“As a brand, we place mother and baby first and have a long term commitment to this market. We are a New Zealand owned company manufacturing in New Zealand using local ingredients. Our formula is manufactured to the highest standards using the tightest processes.”

“We understand that breast feeding is accepted as the best form of nutrition for a growing baby; however, NutriaCare is committed to producing the highest quality formula available for New Zealand babies” says Fankhauser.

Nuenfant Gold launched in Asia 12 months ago and has experienced considerable success in the region. The product is currently on sale in more than 60 cities in China and sales are expected to surpass one million cans in 2014. Fankhauser commented that this projected growth is in spite of tough operating conditions in Asia created by the botulism scare.

The brand is now focusing on delivering its New Zealand baby formula to New Zealand families.

Fankhauser brings extensive expertise in dairy industry in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific. He was previously the founding CEO and shareholder of New Zealand milk processor Open Country Dairy and CEO of Packaging at Carter Holt Harvey New Zealand.
