Pack & Send wins prestigious franchise award
Pack & Send New Zealand has won the Emerging Franchise System of the Year category in the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards 2013/14.
Pack & Send has13 franchises nationwide in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown.
The awards were presented at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Auckland, before an audience of over 200 people on Saturday November 16.
Pack & Send stood out in the Emerging Franchise System category for its approach to developing and continuously improving their franchise system.
“Pack & Send are innovative, clearly implementing improvements and gaining results from their efforts. They have a well thought-out business model for which they've established good regularly monitored KPIs. Pack & Send have already identified and are implementing improvements and innovations that will stand them in good stead in the future,” the judges said.
It is the first time Emerging Franchise Systems have been recognised in the annual awards. It was introduced this year to give franchises that have been trading in New Zealand for under five years the opportunity to be independently assessed against their peers.
Pack & Send
Pack & Send
provides retail and business customers with a one-stop shop
for any freight and packaging requirements. A customer can
take virtually any item of any shape or size into a Pack &
Send store and be confident it will be carefully packaged,
insurance arranged, and delivered to any address, anywhere
in the world.
Operating under the slogan “No Limits!” Pack & Send is essentially the freight industry made people-friendly. It provides householders and businesses with a one-stop shop for all their freight and packaging requirements.
The professional custom-packaging service includes expertise in handling fragile, large, awkward and valuable items.
Continuous improvements to these offerings obviously impressed the judges in the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards 2013/2014 — and the judging criteria in these awards are some of the most demanding in the world. New Zealand’s first Pack & Send outlet opened in Christchurch in August 2008.
A year later, stores were open in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin, and now Albany, Newmarket, Hamilton, Tauranga, Nelson and Queenstown each have one too.
The company believes there is room for 25 stores in New Zealand, as Kiwi consumers, Trade Me buyers and sellers, tourists and backpackers, university students, small businesses and large corporations are taking enthusiastically to the unique Pack & Send proposition.
