Mark Ennis appointed CEO of AdviceFirst

AdviceFirst announces the appointment of Mark Ennis as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The appointment complements significant growth in the business in 2013, including the acquisition of four financial advisory businesses, substantially growing its presence nationwide.

AdviceFirst Executive Chairman Peter Chote said, “We are delighted to welcome Mark to the AdviceFirst team – he brings extensive experience in a wide range of financial services as well as valuable strategy and marketing expertise as we continue to grow the business.

“This high calibre appointment reflects our key goal to continue build on our position as one of New Zealand’s largest and leading financial advice companies, which provides a full suite of advice services including insurance, investment, lending and superannuation.”

Majority owned by AMP, AdviceFirst has access to AMP’s extensive range of services to support the delivery of quality financial advice together with the knowledge and experience a nationwide adviser network.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Ennis said he was excited to join a financial service business that is currently serving clients all over New Zealand, is growing rapidly and has a solid foundation of top quality financial advisers across its business.

“AdviceFirst is a company going from strength to strength. My focus will be to build on our strong market position and to partner with our clients to support them in achieving their financial goals through the services we offer.”

Mr Ennis has worked in senior management positions in financial services for the last 20 years, including at general manager level in strategy, marketing, product, finance, programme management and change, and IT roles.
