Senior US SAP executive returns to NZ as Practice Manager for UXC Oxygen

WELLINGTON, 17 September 2014: UXC Oxygen, the SAP solutions and Cloud company, has appointed Michael (Mike) Smith to the position of Practice Manager – Wellington.

Previously based in the US, Smith has returned to New Zealand to take up the Wellington-based role. He is responsible for the overall management of UXC Oxygen customer projects, both in the greater Wellington region and throughout the South Island.

UXC Oxygen – General Manager NZ, Paul Mihaljevich, says Smith’s appointment is a feather in the cap for UXC Oxygen.

“Mike is a proven executive leader with a broad background in information technology consulting. He has an extensive ‘top tier’ software vendor background with a track record of building strong relationships, leading cohesive, high-performance teams, and driving operational excellence. He has particular expertise in selling and supporting the full lifecycle of SAP solutions to public sector organisations.

“We are delighted to have Mike on board and look forward to him working closely with our other recent business manager appointee, Lloyd O’Keefe, to further strengthen our business development efforts and service the growing demand for SAP solutions in the region.”

Smith says he is excited to be working for an organisation he has followed from afar. “UXC Oxygen has an excellent reputation in the market and within SAP. I respect how it has developed over the last 15 years and I am highly motivated to help the company achieve its growth and solution delivery objectives.”
