Chief executive appointed to NZ's leading payroll provider

Chief executive appointed to New Zealand’s leading payroll provider

New Zealand’s leading payroll software provider, IMS Payroll, has appointed Doug Jopling to a newly established role of chief executive.

IMS Payroll has over 10,000 customers throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

IMS Payroll managing director Kevin Atkinson said Mr Jopling’s appointment heralded an exciting new era for the business, which had recently launched a cloud-based payroll solution to complement its desktop version.

“Doug has vast commercial experience across a wide range of industries internationally and IMS Payroll will significantly benefit from his direction.

Mr Jopling has held senior management positions with IKEA and KPMG overseas.

He moved to New Zealand in 2012 and was the Chief Financial Officer at rural retailer Farmlands.

“I’m excited about the role and see significant growth opportunities for the company.

“IMS Payroll has been at the forefront of payroll solutions for over 30 years and continues to provide its customers, from small to very large with a modern business support product,” Mr Jopling said.

Mr Jopling starts the new role at the beginning of November.
