Greater Group award One Plus One APAC Account

MEDIA ANNOUNCEMENT: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

International retail specialists Greater Group award One Plus One APAC PR account

Auckland, New Zealand: Friday, 3 October 2014

Auckland-based corporate communications agency, One Plus One, has been awarded the Greater Group PR account for Asia, Australia and New Zealand, without a pitch, and been given a remit to further improve the profile of the international design-led retail agency.

Established 25-years ago and based in Melbourne, Australia, Greater Group provides a unique end-to-end solution to global retailers and delivers high impact, high return store design, fit out and manufacturing solutions. Its clients include Samsung, Optus, JB Hi-Fi, Google, Pandora, Westpac Group and Nissan.

One Plus One will draw upon the affiliate status it enjoys with MSLGROUP, the largest communications and engagement advisory network in Asia, to help raise Greater Group’s profile in key markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong and China. In addition, One Plus One will assist Greater Group with its imminent New Zealand launch (scheduled to take place in the next few months) and provide communications support in Australia.

“Greater Group are acknowledged as leaders in their field and work with some of the best businesses and brands in the world so we’re really proud to partner with them. To help deliver the communications support they require in conjunction with our friends at MSLGROUP, so shortly after we announced our partnership back in July, is validation of the benefit it provides,” says Kelly Bennett, Founder and Managing Director of One Plus One.

Danielle Barclay, GM International Brand and Strategy at Greater Group, comments: “One Plus One were recommended to us and we were impressed with their skillset and strategic recommendations right from the onset, when we began our discussions earlier this year. They will support us in the countries where we seek to further develop our brand footprint and, of course, manage the PR and communications requirements for our push into New Zealand.”

Barclay is currently Melbourne based but spent several years working in Auckland (including a stint at DDB Shop) and will be relocating to New Zealand, where she will continue to oversee Greater Group’s expansion throughout the Asia Pacific region.

“Part of the attraction of working with One Plus One was their ability to assist us from New Zealand and yet support us throughout the Asia Pacific region,” she adds.

Charlotta Lagerdahl Gandolfo, Regional Business Director, MSLGROUP, Asia, comments: “It’s exciting to know we can collaborate with One Plus One to help Greater Group tell their story. We look forward to the prospect of counseling and working with them to help realise their engagement and communications requirements, as well as continuing our excellent working relationship with One Plus One.”
