Lucas Group including HELiPRO in receivership

On 7 October 2014 John Fisk and David Bridgman, Partners from PwC, were appointed receivers to Rick Lucas Helicopters Limited and related entities which trades as HELiPRO. The receivership has occurred as a result of a request to appoint receivers by the director of the companies.

HELiPRO operates from eight bases throughout New Zealand as well as having operations in Fiji and Australia. In addition to commercial and tourism helicopter activities, the business also provides maintenance services and both helicopter and fixed wing flight training, employing approximately 70 staff.

The Receivers will work with management, staff and customers to determine the best way forward with a view to achieving a sale of the business as a going concern either as a whole or in part.

The Receivers are yet to determine the full extent of creditor claims.
