Auckland Airport has been voted Australasia’s Leading Airport in the 2014 World Travel Awards.
This was the 21st Annual World Travel Awards which are determined by the votes of travel and tourism professionals worldwide.
Auckland Airport’s chief executive, Adrian Littlewood, says, “Auckland Airport connects New Zealanders with each other and the world. This award is a testament to the hard work of all those at the airport who are passionate about making journeys better.”
“2014 really has been a great year. In March Auckland Airport was named best airport in the Australia-Pacific region, for the sixth year in a row, and best airport for staff service in the Australia-Pacific region, for the third year in a row, at the annual SKYTRAX World Airport Awards.”
World Travel Awards’ president and founder, Graham E Cooke, says, the accolade recognises the commitment to excellence Auckland Airport has demonstrated in the last twelve months.
The World Travel Awards for the Asia and Australasia region were announced at gala ceremony in New Delhi, India on 10 October 2014.
