Local Heros Acknowlged in This Year’s Wares Awards

Exceptional service and outstanding leadership skills once again are criteria searched for in this year’s Wares Awards.

Each year, the Wares Awards is the highlight of the appliance industry calendar – bringing together retailers in the appliance retail sector, to acknowledge the hard work and commitment of everyday New Zealanders.

Covering the breath of New Zealand, this year’s finalists come from all corners of the country, from Wellington, Gisborne and Southland.

The winner of the Retailer of the Year Award and Young Retailer of the Year will not only receive industry-wide recognition for their achievement, including exposure in Wares Magazine; but will also take away a travel grant to visit an international trade show of their choice.

This year, judges will be looking for a retailer who has achieved a high standard in their retailing career and can demonstrate outstanding performance.

This year also sees the return of the Hall of Fame. Nominees are inducted into one of three eras; pre-1980s, 1980-1999 or 2000-presen), the one during which the nominee has had the most influence or established a positive reputation will be awarded.

All winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 13th November 2014, at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland.
