Announcement of appointment of Acting Crown Solicitor, Auckland
The Solicitor-General has today appointed Brian Dickey to act as the interim Crown Solicitor in the Auckland warrant region until permanent appointments are made to the new Manukau and Auckland warrant positions. Mr Dickey is a senior criminal partner at Meredith Connell and a panel prosecutor for the Serious Fraud Office.
Mr Dickey will be replacing Christine Gordon QC as the acting Crown Solicitor. Ms Gordon has announced her resignation from the partnership of Meredith Connell and she will be leaving at a date to be confirmed in early 2015.
The Solicitor-General is confident that high quality Crown prosecution services will continue to be delivered in the Auckland region over this interim period.
