The French Cafe Named One of the Top Restaurants in the World

Auckland restaurant, The French Cafe, has been named one of the top five fine-dining restaurants in the world.

Husband and wife duo, Simon Wright and Creghan Molloy Wright are the team behind The French Cafe. Simon has been working with Electrolux as an ambassador for two years, with the shared vision of inspiring both home cooks and professional chefs.

Beating other food heavyweights and Michelin-starred establishments to place fourth in the 2014 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award, The French Cafe is renowned for its unique combination of classical and contemporary European cuisine. The awards are judged on the reviews that are submitted by millions of TripAdvisor users each year.

Malcolm Bain, Electrolux Director New Zealand, said: “We’d like to congratulate Simon, Creghan and the team at The French Cafe for their success in the 2014 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards. Simon’s innovative approach to European cooking is why Electrolux selected him as an ambassador and it’s fantastic to see that the public is also awarding Simon with the recognition that he deserves”.

Electrolux has more than 90 years experience designing cooking appliances for both the home and restaurant. The French Cafe is one of many celebrated restaurants around the world that boast Electrolux appliances, with almost half of the Michelin-starred chefs in Europe choosing to cook with Electrolux.
