Bringing Beautiful Fabrics Back to the City –

The Fabric Store Re-opens in Christchurch

Renowned New Zealand retailer (formerly Global Fabrics) is re-opening in Christchurch this Thursday the 20th of November, offering Cantabrians exclusive designer dress fabrics and hand-selected high fashion textiles

(Christchurch, New Zealand) – After a long and patient wait by their loyal Canterbury customer base, The Fabric Store (formerly Global Fabrics) is re-opening in the garden city this Thursday the 20th of November 2014. With their Tuam Street location damaged beyond repair in the February 2011 earthquake, the renowned fabric retailer has finally found a new home within The Tannery boutique shopping complex in Woolston.

Long dedicated to providing high-quality contemporary dress fabrics to designers and the creative public in New Zealand and Australia; The Fabric Store is excited to be back in the thick of things, and a part of the inspiring and creative city that is Christchurch. ‘It’s amazing the level of passion and patience we have seen from our Christchurch customer base. Over the last few years we have received emails daily asking when we will be reopening so we are thrilled that things have finally come together and that we have found such an amazing location’ says General Manager Jasmine Cucksey.

Our regulars come in to The Fabric Store to get inspired - they consider it a weekly getaway.”

The Fabric Store opens its doors this Thursday the 20th of November at The Tannery, 3 Garlands Road, Woolston. To celebrate, they are offering 30% off all fabrics for the first week of trading – exclusive to their new Christchurch location.
