TravelPharm takes off at Queenstown Airport

TravelPharm takes off at Queenstown Airport

A new travel pharmacy at Queenstown Airport will give travellers easy access to over-the-counter pharmacy and healthcare items, beauty products and travel necessities.

Located between Paper Plus bookstore and Airspresso Café, TravelPharm opened for business yesterday (17 December) and carries a wide range of travel essentials including sunscreen, insect repellent, toothpaste, deodorant, lip balm, pain killers, baby care products, and jetlag and travel sickness medications.

Natural skin care products are also on offer from Trilogy, Living Nature, Olive, Evolu, Antipodes & Linden Leaves along with a range of 100% New Zealand-produced items including natural health supplements from well-known brands like Goodhealth, Nutra-life, Blackmores, Comvita, Lifestream, and Manuka Health.

TravelPharm Director Yoon Song is excited about opening the new airport store - his second in New Zealand.

“We have been operating at Auckland Airport for eight years now so have had a great opportunity to understand what our customers want and tailor our product range to suit their needs,” he said.

“We’re committed to representing the best of New Zealand brands and providing service excellence. It’s important to us that all of our staff are thoroughly product trained and can make our customers feel comfortable by conversing with them in a number of different languages.”

Sean Thompson, Queenstown Airport Corporation’s General Manager of Property, is looking forward to adding a dedicated travel pharmacy to the airport’s retail offering and believes it will improve the overall shopping experience.

“We’re continually working for our airport visitors by providing quality, choice and convenience,” he said. “These stores have proven very popular at airports with those looking to pick up last minute travel supplies or gift items. We’re hoping TravelPharm will be just as successful here.”
