BLK extends partnership with Rugby powerhouse Manu Samoa

BLK extends partnership with Pacific Island Rugby Union powerhouse Manu Samoa

International sporting apparel brand BLK has today announced a continuation of its six year partnership with the Samoan Rugby Union.

The partnership extension will see BLK provide the Samoan national rugby union team with cutting edge, high performance on and off field apparel for the 2015 season including an historic Test match against the world champion All Blacks in Apia and the Rugby World Cup in London.

BLK CEO Tyron Brant saying the protracted negotiations had resulted in solid outcomes.

“There has been much speculation surrounding the Samoan Rugby Union, BLK relationship and it’s fair to say that negotiations have at times been robust, however pleasingly today we are in a position to announce a partnership extension and new structure that benefits the code in Samoa, the SRU’s players along with the teams many supporters.” Mr Brant said.

BLK Chairman Kim Brant attributed the successful outcome to the significant assistance and influence of Lupesina Frederick Grey.

“We are extremely thankful to Lupesina Frederick Grey who gave freely of his time and efforts to ensure positive outcomes were achieved in negotiations between the Samoan Rugby Union and BLK.” The Chairman said.

“It was invaluable to have the support and assistance of such a highly respected South Pacific businessman and community leader as we worked towards achieving an amicable partnership resolution.”

“As a brand we now look forward to working closely with the Samoan Rugby Union to ensure season 2015, which promises to be an extremely exciting time in the history of the SRU, is the most productive of our six year partnership”
