Kawerau Enterprise Agency (KEA) has announced they are funding a new initiative to help Kawerau businesses fast-track their growth.
Over a ten month period selected Kawerau business owners will receive a unique blend of business training focused on accelerating their capability in sales, pitching and developing a growth mind-set with professionally facilitated coaching.
Facilitated by Darren McGarvie from McGarvie Business Coaching, the Growth Acceleration Programme aims to triple the current rate of growth for participating businesses.
Executive Director of Kawerau Enterprise Agency Helen Stewart said that by supporting local businesses to achieve growth it would create more jobs for the people of Kawerau.
“This programme has been devised to help local businesses improve and grow by focusing on key areas that will have the most impact on growth,” she said.
“Many business owners are so busy working in their business that they have no time to step back and work on their business. This provides them with the skills and mindset to work on their business to achieve faster growth,” Miss Stewart said.
“What is unique about this programme is that the new behaviours and skills learnt during the workshops are enforced and followed up with implementation sessions and coaching sessions,” she said.
“This is for business owners of medium size businesses that are profitable and scalable and have a willingness to accelerate their already growing business.”
“Ultimately we want to help good businesses become great,” Miss Stewart said.
“I am delighted with the outcome from our Incubate series and this new programme is building on knowledge gained from the 2014 programme.”
Local businesses are invited to register their interest for the programme by completing an online form www.bit.ly/KEA-GAP with registrations closing onFriday 6 February. Successful applicants will commence the programme late February.
Participants will be required to attend a two hour session every fortnight in Rotorua with the cost of the programme fully funded by KEA.
The Growth Acceleration Programme is currently being run with 18 business owners in Taupo with the support of Enterprise Great Lake Taupo.
Programme facilitator Darren McGarvie said feedback from the Taupo participants had been extremely positive and he is looking forward to running the programme in Rotorua with Rotorua and Kawerau business owners.
“The Taupo programme is helping the Taupo businesses launch new products and services, accelerate expansion plans into other towns and implement new leadership initiatives with staff. We are looking to replicate that success for Kawerau and Rotorua businesses,” he said.
