Rediscover your business mojo

Rediscover your business mojo

There are some people who simply love being in business and can’t wait for the next opportunity to trail blaze towards greatness.

Then there are times when business can seem as frustrating as a mozzie after dark that just won’t go away no matter how much you swipe and swat.

Kirsten Hawke from Business Buddy shares every business owners’ exaltation and exasperation, and wants to give local entrepreneurs a forum where they would be inspired to grow their businesses.

“East and South Auckland has an abundance of business owners who have great ideas, they work hard and they aspire to achieve greatness,” says Mrs Hawke.

“There will be hurdles along the way – the slog of long hours, shortage of resources, including good staff and thinking beyond the ‘to do’ list.”

There are plenty of business programmes, mentors and advisors in the market and Mrs Hawke has identified Dr Mike Ashby as one of the great ones who makes a real difference to business.

Dr Ashby is presenting a free business seminar at Business Buddy’s East Tamaki office to introduce businesses to the Momentum Programme run by The Breakthrough Company.

The agenda includes ways to achieve controlled growth and put an end to working 50+ hour weeks.

“Often we have the ideas and enthusiasm but not the systems and processes, which makes it difficult to grow or even survive,” says Mrs Hawke.

“Once good systems are in place it allows business owners to step away from working in the business and focus on areas of the business they enjoy.”
