Hospo to nominate the best

Hospo to nominate the best

The Hawke’s Bay Hospitality Awards return for the 8th year to recognise the outstanding workers in all areas of Hospitality and to acknowledge their achievements. The awards have become an important part of the region’s event calendar. The Hospitality Awards voting process is open only to the Hospitality Industry in Hawke’s Bay which includes workers and establishments from Wairoa to Dannevirke.

The nomination process will start on Monday 16th when workers get to nominate who they believe is the best in up to 13 different categories. When nominations close they are counted and the top four become finalists in each category. The industry will then again vote for the ‘most outstanding’ in their field.

Each of the categories reflects the significance of the role hospitality workers play in providing a vibrant and vital industry in the region. “The awards are a means of reassuring members of the public that these establishments and the people within the industry are worthy of recognition and makes their dining choices easier” said Food Hawke’s Bay manager Patricia Small.

Events like this do not happen without the support of sponsor businesses who truly believe in this industry and are willing to be part of an exciting event like this one.

Ms Small says “we are very pleased to have repeat sponsors on board once again and also welcome new sponsors Simply Squeezed, Seafood Specialists, Hastings i-SITE and Bounce Hangover Helper to this years’ event.”
