CRV offers free education about mobile herd management tool

Herd improvement company CRV Ambreed is supporting farmers throughout the length and breadth of provincial New Zealand by holding free workshops that will teach farmers how to make the most of its online herd recording app.

CRV Insight, allows farmers to take their herd recording and data management to the next level by making vital herd information more accessible when they are on the go and need to make important on-farm decisions.

CRV Ambreed information product manager Henk Huurnink said dairy farmers have praised CRV Insight for its ease of use, convenience and ability to make data management easier.

However, he said there are still many who are not using the app to its full capability, so CRV Ambreed will facilitate education workshops in 15 locations throughout New Zealand.

The workshops will cover:

• CRV Insight features

• Customising and viewing reports

• Making data entry easy

• Using CRV Insight on smartphones

Huurnink said CRV INSIGHT Mobile in particular has been in hot demand with farming clients using smartphones, which is no surprise when Dairy NZ recently reported that more than 60 per cent of farmers now use smartphones and want technical information on the go.

“It’s really great to be able to help our clients manage their herd at a touch of a button and make recording and accessing information just that extra bit easier. Our team is continuously innovating to bring our clients the products and services they need to get on with their job with as much ease and efficiency as possible,” he said.
