Burgerfuel Opens Two New Restaurants Today

As BurgerFuel gears up for scalability and growth, today the company tested its own systems by opening two new restaurants in two different countries; BurgerFuel Upper Hutt in Wellington, New Zealand, and BurgerFuel Rosalie, in Brisbane, Australia. The two new outlets take the company’s global total to 76.

The new restaurant in Brisbane is located in the central, bustling suburb of Rosalie. BurgerFuel has opened the restaurant with Sam Paterson, the franchisee who also operates restaurants in Emporium and Victoria Point, Brisbane, and Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast.

Over in New Zealand, after many years of requests, residents of Upper Hutt will be celebrating the long awaited opening of a BurgerFuel restaurant in their city. Upper Hutt is located in close proximity to Wellington and is home to 41,000 residents, as well as scores of visitors who arrive for the outdoor recreation opportunities on offer.

This restaurant has also been opened with existing franchisees Matt Kingi (who also owns the Adelaide Road, Courtenay Place and Porirua restaurants) and Paul Longley (who also owns the Lower Hutt, Haitaitai, and Cuba Street restaurants) who have both been part of the BurgerFuel family for over 10 years.

Craig Notman, General Manager of BurgerFuel Australasia, comments, “Helping our franchisees to grow their store portfolios is an important part of the BurgerFuel expansion strategy. Sam, Matt and Paul have gone from strength to strength and it’s great to see them expanding their BurgerFuel machines yet again in such promising locations”.

BurgerFuel CEO, Josef Roberts, comments, “Opening two stores in two different countries on the same day is quite a milestone. Exercises like this help us to prepare for the higher volume of growth that is ahead of us. While our preparation for entry into America remains very much a focus for the business, our teams in our existing markets are working hard to constantly expand the BurgerFuel footprint”.

BurgerFuel Rosalie is located at 1/151 Baroona road, Paddington, Rosalie, Brisbane.

BurgerFuel Upper Hutt is located at 185 Main Street, Upper Hutt, Wellington.

BurgerFuel Worldwide (BFW) is a New Zealand gourmet burger concept and is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZAX). BurgerFuel shares are currently trading at $2.90.
