Canon appoints new General Manager

Canon appoints new General Manager for Consumer Imaging business

26 May 2015: Canon New Zealand today announced the appointment of Adam Maxwell to the position of General Manager for the Canon Consumer Imaging business replacing Kim Conner, who was appointed Managing Director of Canon New Zealand in April.

Maxwell joins Canon New Zealand from Independent Liquor and Boundary Road Brewery where he has been General Manager of Marketing and Innovation for the past 6 ½ years. He has held previous roles at DB Breweries and Diageo Great Britain and was a recipient of the prestigious NZ Marketing Association ‘Marketer of the Year‘ award.

Canon Managing Director Kim Conner says Maxwell’s broad and diverse experience is just what Canon needs at a time of continual shifts in consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of global online commerce.

“We were greatly impressed by Adam’s passion and drive and look forward to him steering the brand as a leader in marketing innovation and consumer engagement.”

“This year Canon aims to inspire and enable New Zealanders to do more with what they see using a unique suite of end-to-end products, services and capabilities,” she says.

“My leadership team is always focused on the future and defining Canon’s role in enhancing the customer experience,” says Ms Conner.

“I am very excited to welcome talent such as Adam to this dynamic team.”

Maxwell will also be a part of the Senior Leadership team across Canon’s total business.
