Interbloc Builds a Real Castle at Fieldays®

Interbloc’s
unique modular construction system has been used to
construct a real life castle for Fieldays 2015 at site
H39.
As part of the launch of their ‘Imagine What You Could Build’ campaign Interbloc has built a castle measuring 18m x 11m x 7m high from solid one tonne concrete blocks. “It’s about showing the extreme versatility of Interbloc modular construction system, while having a bit of fun” explains Scott Bright, Interbloc’s founder. Imagine giant lego and you’ll have a pretty good concept of our Interbloc works.
Interbloc’s ‘Imagine What You Could Build’ campaign challenges the public to come up with innovative, unique ideas for the use of Interbloc blocks. While a castle is at the extreme end of what you can build with Interbloc blocks, it is designed to show how flexible the system is.
Interbloc is a unique modular construction system founded in 2003. At the heart of the system is an interlocking mass concrete block which weighs one tonne. The block is used throughout New Zealand and Australia for bulk storage and retaining walls. Our environmentally friendly business practices have been recognised by the Ministry for the Environmentas assisting to reduce waste in the concrete industry and providing more sustainable solutions to recycling and has received funding from the Waste Minimisation Fund. Interbloc is locally owned and operated.
