DuPont announces change to NZ distributor

DuPont has announced the appointment of Weather Barrier Systems as its new national distributor for the DuPont™ Tyvek® range of building wraps and accessories, effective from July 5 2015.

The appointment comes as DuPont seeks to increase its reach into the New Zealand construction market.

“Partnering with Weather Barrier Systems gives us a distributor whose focus is 100 per cent on our brand and products,” said Phillip Betts, business manager for DuPont™ Building Innovations in New Zealand and Australia. “This will enable us to better serve the New Zealand construction market.”

Nigel Brown, General Manager for Weather Barrier Systems, says the business is delighted to have been awarded distribution rights.

“Our team has been carefully put together to ensure that the DuPont™ Tyvek® range will be well supported in New Zealand, giving the construction industry here better access to high performing products in this category,” Brown said.

“As well as significant previous experience in marketing these products internationally, our team has long-standing relationships with key distributors and end-users in New Zealand.”

Mr Brown says Weather Barrier Systems will contact existing customers to ensure Tyvek® users experience no disruption during the transition period.
