Mint Appoints Mark Todd as New Chairman

Funds management company Mint Asset Management (Mint) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Todd to the role of Chairman.

Rebecca Thomas CEO of Mint Asset Management says “Mark brings a wealth of knowledge to our board and an impressive blend of governance, business and legal expertise. We are delighted to have him on our team.”

During his 15 year tenure as a legal partner at Bell Gully, Mark became one of New Zealand’s leading funds management lawyers with a particular emphasis on regulatory matters. Since leaving Bell Gully in 2012 he has co-founded successful professional services business AML Solutions, and earlier this month was appointed to the board of the Financial Markets Authority (FMA).

Mark has undertaken a number of governance roles covering public sector, NZX listed and private entities and is currently a director of life insurer Westpac Life. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

Mint Asset Management has more than $300 million funds under management and is on a significant growth path. The company has secured additional institutional funds management portfolios in the past two years and continues to deliver consistently superior risk adjusted year on year results to investors in its Trans-Tasman equity funds.

Mark’s appointment is effective immediately.
