Westcon Group NZ to take on broader Cisco portfolio

Westcon Group NZ to take on broader Cisco portfolio under expanded New Zealand partnership

Global networking leader Cisco and Westcon Group NZ, a global value-added technology distributor, have announced an expansion of their existing relationship in New Zealand that will see Westcon Group NZ take on distribution of a broad portfolio of Cisco® products.

The expansion comes following an extensive review by Cisco to ensure its distribution partnerships in New Zealand support its architectural solutions approach.

As a result of the review, Westcon Group NZ will expand from its current focus on Cisco data centre solutions to incorporate a much broader range of Cisco products and solutions, including networking, collaboration and security.

The new agreement is expected to bring benefits for partners and customers by simplifying access to a wider range of adjacent Cisco solutions, for example with Flexpod, a converged infrastructure stack by NetApp and Cisco.

Westcon Group NZ’s dedicated team is focused on creating unique programs and providing exceptional support to accelerate the Cisco business for their partners.

With this in mind, in conjunction with the expansion to the full Cisco line, Westcon Group NZ will be launching a Westcon framework known as Cisco EDGE, to help partners profitably sell solutions and exceed their Cisco business goals.

Cisco EDGE will help customers to engage and onboard, develop their business, grow their business through additional technologies, marketing and services, and extend their business with new consumption models or geographies.

Westcon Group NZ will commence distribution of the full Cisco portfolio at the start of Cisco’s new fiscal year, 27 July 2015.
