Baboom signs ground breaking agreement with APRA AMCOS
New artist direct-to-fan platform Baboom, which launches this week, has penned an innovative trial agreement with Australasian performing and mechanical rights society APRA AMCOS.
Baboom’s royalty engine takes a different approach to all other models by calculating and paying directly to writers, societies and other rights holders at source.
This innovative royalty engine is endorsed by the APRA AMCOS agreement and forges a new path in an industry calling for greater transparency and solutions that keep pace with technological advances.
Other key innovations Baboom will introduce include daily payments, a 90% split for pro artists, fair trade streaming and a ticketing solution.
“We are excited that APRA AMCOS shared our vision and worked with Baboom to find a solution that protected their rights holders whilst aligning with Baboom’s new approach,” says Mikee Tucker / Head of Content for Baboom.
