New Zealand Air Line Pilots' Association welcomes the Court of Appeal decision
The New Zealand Air Line Pilots' Association is pleased with The Court of Appeal decision that has agreed a New Zealand pilot, employed by Jetstar, should be able to take adequate meal and rest breaks because he is not subject to Australian aviation law.
Association Acting President, First Officer Tim Robinson says this is great news for our member, a Christchurch based pilot.
'The Association has to take the time to digest the Court of Appeal decision that came out yesterday afternoon to determine what ramifications this could have for the industry,' said First Officer Robinson.
The NZ Air Line Pilots Association (NZALPA) represents 2,500 Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers.
