Chinese customers making a beeline for Hauora Honey's web portal

partnership with NZ Post

Hauora Honey's partnership with NZ Post's online China portal is getting sweeter by the day.

The xinxilan.tmall.hk Chinese language website is part of the Alibaba Group's Tmall Global Platform. (Xinxilan means 'Gifts from New Zealand' in Chinese).

It provides an online shopfront for a range of quality and genuine New Zealand products, and manages payments, logistics, delivery and feedback for business to consumer transactions.

Hauora Honey marketing manager Tamara Savage says that sales of Hauora's certified Manuka honey and other honeys have grown steadily since the website's inception in late 2014.

“Our Chinese customers can see they are buying the same Hauora Honey that we sell at specialist retail outlets such as Te Papa or the NZ Parliamentary Gift Shop,” she says.

“It is fantastic for our own brand to be seen alongside other high quality New Zealand products, and provide a reassurance and integrity for what we consider to be the best of our country's honeys.”

NZ Post's Manager of International Parcels Murray Silcock says Hauora Honey was one of the first two New Zealand brands to sell on the portal, and its products are one of Xinxilan's star performers.

“We've made the process of ordering, paying and delivery simple for both Hauora customers and for Hauora itself, and we're delighted to be part of the Wellington-based company's success,” says Murray Silcock.
