Opening of New Zealand Embassy in Bogota
The Latin America New Zealand Business Council congratulates the New Zealand Government on its decision to open an Embassy in Bogota next year.
Matthew O’Meagher, President of the LANZBC commented: “The potential of the Colombian market has become increasingly apparent to Council members, many of whom have joined Government missions to the market in recent years. Education, agri-business and investment have been identified as particular opportunities. The LANZBC therefore looks forward to working with the government and exporters to connect businesses in the two countries.
Alongside the Rio Olympics, Peru’s 2016 APEC Year, the expansion of air links, and ongoing trade negotiations, too, the opening of this new Latin American post is a further reason for New Zealand companies and organisations to look to the Latin American region for trans-Pacific business growth opportunities.”
