Face of Merino Kids National Finalists Announced
Face of Merino Kids National Finalists Announced
After nearly a month of searching Aotearoa for beautiful newborn babies, New Zealand’s favourite sleepbag company have announced their much anticipated six national finalists who will take part in a professional photo shoot in Auckland this Friday, vying for their chance to be the next Face of Merino Kids.
Since the 1 October Merino Kids has been looking to find the cutest, cuddliest and coolest newborn to join their flock and front up their brand new Autumn/ Winter 2016 range. After searching through nearly one thousand entries, they are now pleased to announce the finalists who will be in with a chance to win a $4,000 prize package.
The finalists are Auckland based babies Micah Waite (3 months old), Zoe Taikato (3 months), Oscar Setchell (2 weeks old) and twins Kendall and Britta Harris (7 weeks old), Walter Neal (3 months old) from Hamilton and Willow Newcombe (2 months old) from Christchurch.
Founder Amie Nilsson said “we have been overwhelmed with the response from the public. It has been really tough trying to narrow down the photos to just six finalists. The competition has been running for eight years now and we are always inundated with so many beautiful baby photos. I wish we could choose them all!”
Merino Kids, which has generously gifted all the entrants with around $13,000 worth of vouchers as a small token of their appreciation for entering the competition, encouraged Kiwis around the nation to submit their scrummy newborn baby photos via the Merino Kids website.
The winning photo will be selected from the professional photoshoot on Friday with the six finalists, which took place at the Merino Kids head office in Ponsonby. Our specialist baby judging panel, including representatives from Merino Kids, OHbaby! Magazine, ecostore, Trilogy and some well-known celebrity mums, Honour Carter (All Black Dan Carter’s wife), Deanna Sigmund (ex All White and Wellington Phoenix FC player Ben Sigmund’s wife) and Emily McKeown (top NZ parenting blogger AKA Emily Writes), will then choose their winning photo to become the ultimate Face of Merino Kids.
Included in the $4,000 prize package is a fab $1,000 worth of Merino Kids products, a two year subscription to OHbaby! Magazine, a year’s supply of ecostore products, a Triolgy Skincare pack for mum and dad, a framed print from the professional photoshoot and a family session with international photographer Cj Hadlow.
