PowerbyProxi Announces New CEO
Wireless power leader re-appoints founder and industry visionary, Fady Mishriki
AUCKLAND, New Zealand., November 4, 2015 - PowerbyProxi, (www.powerbyproxi.com) developer of the world’s most advanced, efficient and safe wireless power systems, today announced it has re-appointed Fady Mishriki as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mishriki steps back into the role after originally serving as founding CEO for almost 7 years previously. Over the last two years Mishriki has acted as Chief Tesla Officer (CTO) and Executive Vice President (EVP) where he interfaced directly with key customers and played an integral role in securing key strategic partnerships that have set the company up for further success.
Mishriki’s appointment signifies a renewed focus for the company on generating direct revenue from what has become the most extensive IP portfolio in the industry today. Mishriki’s standing in the industry, experience in building key customer relationships and undoubted passion for the company he co-founded back in 2007, make him a natural fit as CEO of PowerbyProxi.
“Fady is a born leader and a true visionary for wireless power,” said Sandy Maier, Chairman of the Board at PowerbyProxi. “He continues to be one of the most well-regarded identities in the industry today and we are delighted to be able to re-appoint him to the role of CEO to lead the company through some very exciting new developments,” said Maier.
PowerbyProxi will continue in its vision to unplug the last cable by developing the world’s safest and most efficient wireless power solutions. To date in 2015, PowerbyProxi has made significant contributions to the development of the Wireless Power Consortium’s future Qi wireless charging standard through advances in Resonant technology. In addition, the company has developed many of the highest performing wireless power systems like the compact ARISO connector and Proxi-Point for harsh industrial environments.
Mishriki was also recently recognised as The University of Auckland’s Young Alumnus of the Year for 2015, at the Distinguished Alumni Awards in March.
