Global cocktail comp – entries now open
It’s time for the best Kiwi bartenders to get shaking and start creating their cocktail recipes for the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge.
The winner of the New Zealand event will receive $2,500 and head to Trinidad & Tobago in February to compete in the world final for the first prize of $10,000 US and a year-long contract as the global Angostura brand ambassador.
Previous New Zealand winner Riki Carter says it’s always fascinating to see what drinks the bartenders come up with.
“Creating a drink that’s original is one thing, coming up with one that stands out to the judges is a challenge”
“Competing in Trinidad & Tobago was a once in a life time experience. I learnt a lot and met some amazing people. I encourage any bartender who is passionate about their craft to enter.”
Entrants need to submit two cocktail recipes and photos by Sunday 15th of November. Eight finalists will be announced and the final will be held on Monday 23rd November in Auckland.
