Treble Cone to Extend Snow Season in 2016
Treble Cone to Extend Snow Season in 2016
Following a record season in 2015, Treble Cone Ski Area (Wanaka New Zealand) will be extending the snow season by a week in 2016.
Next season is scheduled to open 23 June and run through until the 2nd of October which will include the first week of the September/October NZ School Holidays.
“This extension will increase the opportunities for families with school aged children to enjoy time on the slopes at Treble Cone next winter. Additionally the extension will provide an additional week for all local and visiting skiers and riders to enjoy the mountain.” Jackie van der Voort – General Manager
Spring is traditionally a great time for skiing and riding at Treble Cone; the Saddle Basin snow depth is generally around a couple of metres deep, the number of sunny days to enjoy the mountain increases, there’s plenty of beds available in Wanaka and good deals to be found, and the days are a little longer allowing for a walk to stretch the legs along the lake after skiing or an après drink in town.
Kids Season Passes are currently on sale for $199, and Family Season Pass from $1999 (sale ends 30 November 2015). http://www.treblecone.com/seasonpass
