AMP KiwiSaver Scheme receives Platinum rating
AMP KiwiSaver Scheme receives Platinum rating from SuperRatings for 2016
Leading life insurer and retirement savings provider, AMP Financial Services, has again cemented its position as one of New Zealand’s leading KiwiSaver providers with the announcement that it has been awarded a Platinum rating for 2016 from SuperRatings.
The SuperRatings assessment reviewed 27 of New Zealand’s major KiwiSaver scheme providers against SuperRatings’ proposition of “best value for money” for scheme members. Analysis covered five main assessment criteria to accurately identify value for consumers – Investment, Fees & Charges, Member Servicing, Administration and Governance.
SuperRatings had the following to say about the AMP KiwiSaver Scheme: “It is well balanced across all key assessment criteria in a robust, secure and proven risk framework. The Scheme provides features that should assist most individuals to meet their retirement savings goals…Fees are competitive and lower than the industry average across all investment options and account balances assessed.”
Therese Singleton, General Manager Investments & Insurance, at AMP says: “We are delighted to receive a Platinum rating for the AMP KiwiSaver Scheme from SuperRatings for the second year running. It’s important that Kiwis making decisions about where to place their retirement savings have sources of independent research to rely on in order to make an informed decision.
“Achieving a Platinum rating is great news for our customers who trust us with their retirement savings as it means they know they have confidently invested with one of the most highly awarded KiwiSaver schemes in New Zealand. Additionally, having one of the lowest member fees in the market means our customers get to keep more of their retirement savings and therefore, potentially have more to retire on,” concludes Singleton.
