Media Statement

4 December 2015

The New Zealand Council for Infrastructure Development is pleased to announce the newly elected Board Members and Chairman for 2016. Long standing board member Patrick Brockie, Head of Global Loans for ANZ, was elected by unanimous vote for Chairman at the NZCID AGM, 26th November. Patrick brings a wealth of experience with his extensive background in project finance and infrastructure. He takes over from John Rae who is retiring after 7 years in the position.

John Rae will remain on the board in the position of Prior Chair. ?I am stepping down from Chairmanship, but my involvement and commitment to NZCID and the board will continue,? said John.

The board increased in number to 12, which additionally allowed room for five new board members. Newly elected members Mayurie Gunatilaka (General Manager Planning and Environmental Services at MWH Global), Robert Jones (CEO, Fulton Hogan Ltd), Dean Kimpton (COO, Auckland Council), Graham Spargo (Technical Director Planning, BECA), and Grant Hodges (Partner, EY) collectively strengthen regional representation and bring a range of multi-disciplinary skills to the Board.

Other changes to the Board included the retirements of Paul Buetow, Partner at Kensington Swan, and Brian Fitzgerald, Executive General Manager at Hawkins Infrastructure.
