Manheim goes from strength to strength

Manheim goes from strength to strength

As 2015 draws to a close, Manheim has recorded a year of growth in the New Zealand market.

With a number of new customers joining an already steadily growing base, local General Manager Andrew Sherliker reflected on the pleasing year.

“2015 has been a great year for Manheim New Zealand. With continued investment in our technology systems such as our new Simulcast online auction system new book-in and inspection systems, we are really at the leading edge of remarketing services in this market.”

“As our credibility and capability continually grows, so does our customer base. This year we have seen many new customers select Manheim as their disposal partner, especially in the finance, corporate and government sectors. Our appointment by n3 earlier this year was the catalyst for some of our growth, which took business directly away from our main competitor.”

Earlier this year, n3 selected Manheim as the preferred supplier of vehicle and fixed asset disposal services for their members. The multi-year contract sees Manheim provide n3 members with access to a wide range of vehicle and equipment disposal sales channels and vehicle and equipment sale preparation services.

Andrew continued, “Sales of passenger and commercial vehicles are up 23% YTD in the Financier segment as many new customers have come on board over the last four months. Our Corporate segment is performing even better, with YTD sales up 100% for vehicle sales and up 76% YTD in Truck and Machinery sales.”

The other area of steady growth for the company has been in the Salvage division, where Manheim services the needs of most vehicle insurers, including the market leader, IAG. Growth YTD is up 10% and looks set to grow into 2016.

“I really believe 2016 will be another impressive year for Manheim. With the investment in our technology systems allowing us to easily cater for and sell increased volumes, we are all set for continued growth. The investment in our New Zealand business is also a clear demonstration of our long term commitment to this market.”

“By no means are we complacent however, as our priority is to offer outstanding customer service to our sellers and buyers alike. Our figures clearly show more and more customers are seeing Manheim as a credible competitor in the marketplace. We won’t disappoint them.”
