Vero Partnership To Give Drivers Confidence over Summer
For Immediate Release
First Credit Union members will find themselves supported by one of New Zealand’s most trusted names just in time for summer holiday travel, thanks to a partnership between the Waikato/Bay of Plenty-based credit union and Vero Insurance.
The partnership means that members of First Credit Union who are owners of motor vehicles, caravans and boats are now able to enjoy Vero Personal Insurance plans, in addition to home and contents packages.
Terry Edwards, General Manager of First Credit Union, says that New Zealand ranks as one of the highest on the list of countries by vehicles per capita: "Whether it’s boats and caravans that come out during the summer holidays or the family car that gets used all year around, being mobile is an integral part of life in New Zealand, and we can now give our members the confidence that they are being supported by a name that has been trusted in the insurance industry for over one hundred years.”
Since 2010 Vero has settled more than $4billion in earthquake claims and this includes 7129 domestic home claims of which 92% of these have been resolved.
The motor vehicle insurance relationship with Vero will confer a range of benefits to members, including: access to 24/7 emergency help and advice, various cover options with flexible payments, as well as a streamlined claims process.
Vero National Schemes Manager, Darwin Seal, says Vero Insurance is proud to be partnering with First Credit Union: "Our relationship will enable us to provide First Credit Union members with tailored insurance policies to protect the things they value the most.”
First Credit Union is 100% Kiwi-owned and operated, and New Zealand’s first affiliated credit union.
