Relief for Diesel Drivers as BP Reduces National Price Below $1
BP has decreased its national diesel price this morning by six cents per litre, bringing diesel prices below one dollar.
BP Communications Manager Shelley Brady said further decreases in refined product costs for diesel had enabled BP to pass through a decrease across its company-owned network today.
“We have now removed 20 cents from BP’s national price of diesel in a little over a month and this marks the sixth decrease we have had for diesel fuel since early December,” she said.
“International demand for diesel has continued to ease, so we are happy to have been able to pass on a significant price decrease for our diesel customers today.
“The Kiwi dollar does remain fairly volatile, so we are watching for any movements very closely.
“We monitor our prices every day and will continue to pass through decreases whenever we can,” Brady said.
BP national prices as 8 January 2016:
91 Unleaded 184.9 cents per litre
95 Unleaded 193.9 cents per litre
Ultimate 98 201.9 cents per litre
Ultimate Diesel 99.9 cents per litre
