Masterton regeneration underway thanks to local home builders

Masterton is set to look smarter thanks to projects being undertaken by the Wairarapa franchise of Jennian Homes.

The home building company has sold all three newly built homes on an area of land on Trustee Street, which until recently has been vacant for more than a decade.

Gareth Norris of Jennian Homes Wairarapa says: “We are delighted to be helping with the regeneration of Masterton and putting land to use that has been empty for so long. Trustee Street is such a good spot as it is only one block from the town centre. These will make very conveniently located, comfortable, brand-spanking-new homes.”

Norris says along with the three homes that have already been built and sold, a further three houses will start being built by April this year.

Adding a further modern touch to Greater Masterton, Jennian Homes Wairarapa is also in the process of completing the first stage of a 52-section subdivision in Solway.

“These homes have a beautiful view of the Tararua Ranges and are perfect for first home buyers, young families, or retirees,” says Norris.

“The sections are all substantial, with plenty of room for children to play, or for a campervan to sit. Solway is also a great place to live – with its own cafes, restaurants and supermarket.”

Norris says the homes range from three to five bedrooms, and four home and land packages have already been sold. Sections range in size from 623m2 to 1,380m2.
