from the TV series American Ninja Warrior

For immediate release – 1 March 2016

JUMP, New Zealand’s Premier Indoor Trampoline Park is hoping to draw Auckland’s interest when they unveil its newJUMP.ninja Warrior Course for both kids and adults to the public on Saturday, 2 April in an event featuring Lance Pekus, known as Cowboy Ninja on “American Ninja Warrior”.

Lance will demonstrate the course every hour on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. “I’m excited to come check out the park and see what New Zealand has to offer,” Pekus said. Lance, works on his father-in-law’s ranch in Salmon, Idaho when he is not practising for “American Ninja Warrior”. “It looks like a super fun course,” he said. “People will get a real feel for what it is like to compete on the show.”

JUMP is giving Kiwis the opportunity to test their skills on an American built version of a Ninja Warrior Course similar to that seen on “American Ninja Warrior”, the NBC show that pits contestants against nearly impossible obstacle courses designed to raise heart rates and viewers’ interest.

To celebrate the launch, the JUMP.ninja course will be complimentary with general admission on Saturday 2nd April. Following that, the JUMP.ninja course access can be purchased in the form of a JUMP Super Pass, an additional cost of $5 on top of the General Admission which starts at $17.

The JUMP.ninja obstacle course will be similar to what viewers would see on the show, according to Sandra Mu, Managing Director of JUMP. She said that there will be two courses, one for children and another to test the adults. Mu calls those who choose the extreme course “athletic enthusiasts,” because the course is such a tough run, even tougher than the already sweat-inducing trampolines.

“This course has been in the making for the past 12 months and after international design and testing we are proud to finally introduce this strength testing ninja course to New Zealand” said Mu.

With more than a dozen obstacles in the two-story course designed to challenge even the most flexible gymnast or Cross Fit enthusiast. Obstacles include a cannon ball alley; tilting ladders; cargo net climbing; a sea of poles; rock wall; spider wall; parkour steps; and a 12ft high warped wall with an airbag.

“We want people to see us in a different light with the ninja course. We’re trying to make JUMP something that is for everyone. Some people think it’s just for kids but I tell you, the adult course is no walk in the park. We’re calling it extreme…and addictive.” Mu said. “This is just another element to our park that will really test the fittest and is perfect for competitive training” says Sandra Mu.
