The Reflections Splashbacks are a genuine and affordable alternative to glass, when considering a splashback or bathroom wall panel.

Reflection Splashbacks are supplied Nationwide by Astute New Zealand Ltd,one of this country's many small businesses mixing it and competing with the large corporations and multi­nationals commonly found in the building supply industry. The company is based in beautiful Mangawhai, Northland. Like all small business’s the owners Meg and Simon Bennett work hard and are resolute in providing a living for their family by going it, on their own.

The company, formed in 2010, is predominantly responsible for importing and
distributing two main products. The first is the Reflections Splashback and
Wall Panel and the other is a diamond drilling system called Porsadrill (website: www.porsadrill.co.nz).

Simon had been a professional, trade certified floor and wall tiler for many years and had tiled hundreds of splashbacks. It seemed homeowners had the choice of tile, stainless steel, stone or glass.

“When I was introduced to the Reflection Splashback panel, I immediately thought a further choice for the homeowner had to have some merit. I knew the cost of tile and stone through first hand experience. I also knew glass is very expensive, especially once you start requiring cut outs for power points and cutting around cabinetry. Stainless steel is also expensive.” Simon

Reflection Splashbacks give the appearance of glass, except it can be cut onsite to any shape required with basic tools, that most DIYers would have access to. They look amazing, are durable and comply with the As/NZS codes to enable it to be used behind Gas Cooktops. And most cool of all, Reflection Splashbacks could be installed at just over half the price of glass.

Reflection Splashbacks are supplied both to the Cabinet Makers/Kitchen builders industry and to the consumer direct. The kitchen builders who use the panels just love them. It means they can take care of the whole installation from start to finish, preventing the 10 day lead time to get a glass splashback installed and providing their clients with a high quality finish to the project with some cost savings as a bonus.

www.reflectionsplashback.co.nz is also proving a success, with the DIY kiwi attitude, consumers are equally up to installing the panels. A custom cut service is available where the consumer simply glues the product to the wall.

The results are amazing and the cost savings are considerable. E­commerce is a recent addition to the site as a result of a demand from consumers.
