Pet Doctors Expands Presence in Christchurch
New Zealand’s largest nationwide group of veterinary clinics, Pet Doctors, has recently expanded its presence in Christchurch.
Two well-known Christchurch clinics – Pet Doctors Templeton, and Marshall & Pringle – have become part of the Pet Doctors Group.
Pet Doctors now has a total of five Christchurch-based clinics. This includes Vet Specs, which is a specialist hospital and surgical referral centre servicing Canterbury and the wider South Island.
Dr Steve Merchant, Pet Doctors’ CEO, says the Group is looking at growing its presence in Canterbury even further, as well as expanding into the rural veterinary sector.
Founded in 2005, Pet Doctors Group currently operates 27 veterinary clinics throughout New Zealand. The Group also owns a number of vertically-integrated businesses – including a veterinary nurse training school and an online pet retail business.
