ARANZ Geo named finalist in NZ Hi-Tech Awards 2016


ARANZ Geo named Company of the Year finalist in NZ Hi-Tech Awards 2016

CHRISTCHURCH, NZ, 31 March 2016 – ARANZ Geo Limited, a world leader in the interpretation and visualisation of geological data for the mining, environmental, renewable energy and other geologically dependent industries, has been named a finalist in the PwC Hi-Tech Company of the Year 2016 category in this year’s New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards.

The Awards attracted a record number of new entries from companies across New Zealand.

Shaun Maloney, Managing Director of ARANZ Geo, says, “It’s a real thrill to be named alongside some of the country’s top hi-tech companies as a finalist for the second year in a row. Over the past year we’ve been extremely busy supporting our rapid growth with an increased global presence, so this is a fantastic acknowledgement for our ever expanding team around the world.”

Solutions allow customers to harness information to extract value, bring meaning and reduce risk. ARANZ Geo is well-known around the world as the developer of 3D geological modelling software Leapfrog®.

Wayne Norrie, Chair of the Hi-Tech Trust says the standard of entries is the highest yet seen in the 22 years that the event has been held.

The local judges are joined by a world class line up of international judges that include James Caan of Dragons’ Den fame; Pascal Finette, Head of Entrepreneurship at Singularity University; Linda Jenkinson, Chair of LesConcierges; Rohit Shukla, CEO of the Larta Institute; Savannah Peterson, Director of Innovation at Speck Design, and 2014 Flying Kiwi Dr Catherine Mohr. They join the existing international judges Claudia Batten, Michael Boustridge, Katherine Corich, Pat Kenealy, Richard Keyse and Nick Lambert.

Winners in each category will be announced at a black-tie gala dinner to be held at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre, Auckland on 20th May 2016.
