Advanced Security Group acquires Concord Security

Nationwide security integrator Advanced Security Group has acquired Concord Security further strengthening its position in New Zealand. “We continue to invest in the security sector and the Concord Security business reinforces several of our existing geographic regions” says Group CEO, Mike Marr.

Concord was founded in 1976 and operates across the Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty regions.

Staff will remain with the business as it is incorporated into Advanced Security this month.

Brian Fleming, Concord Security MD said he is very pleased to see the amalgamation of Concord Security and its staff into the Advanced Security Group, and that it will provide added opportunities ahead.

Advanced Security is New Zealand’s largest dedicated corporate and industrial electronic security provider, with many high-profile corporate and government clients supported by 13 branches across the country. This latest acquisition follows six others including more recently South Island integrator Struthers Electronics & Security in late 2014 and Systems.Com in 2010.

“We must be located where our customers are and we will continue to reinforce existing Advanced Security branches as well as establishing new branches around New Zealand, “says Mike.

Founded in 2002, Advanced Security continues to maintain an average growth rate of 30 percent per annum.

Graeme Hansen, Chairman of parent TPT Group, is delighted with the acquisition, “The acquisition adds a new dimension to the Advanced Security Group and furthers the service ability we can pass on to the market. The transaction helps to strengthen our customer service throughout a number of key regions and support our growing brand portfolio”.
